She was predeceased by: her husband Raul E. Chavez. She is survived by: her parents, Juan Loya, Sr. and Maria Loya; her son Raul Chavez (Bette); her grandchildren, Paul Chavez, Mark Chavez and Jennifer Chavez; her great grandchild Ryan Thomas Chavez; and her brother Juan Loya Jr..
