She was predeceased by: her parent William Abner; her son Johnny Thornton; and her sisters, Catherine and Retha. She is survived by: her spouse Grover Lawson Thornton; her children, Jimmy Lawson Thornton of Amarillo, TX, Fannie M. Thornton Cameron (Richard) of Amarillo, TX, Mary Sue Thornton Ritchey of Dalhart, TX, Eddie Joe Thornton (Lupe) of Dumas, TX, Glenda J. Thornton Brittain (Kenneth) of Conway, AR and Helen Jean Thornton Stewart of Amarillo, TX; her grandchildren, Wendy, Stuart, John, Mary, Mandy, Melissa, Brian and Jennifer; and her sisters, Marie Goree of Paris, TX, Ruby Johnson of Marlow, OK. and Wilma Duesmann of Marlow, OK.. She is also survived by 27 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
