He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Tipping and Irene Tipping; his daughter Connie Irene Sherman (Martha Alice Tipping); his brothers, Elmer Tipping and Doyle Tipping; his grandson Christopher Morton; and his great grandchild Adeline Faye Raibley.

He is survived by: his wife Martha Alice Blankenship; his daughter Gayla Morton (Rick Morton); his grandchildren, Samuel Boyd (Jessica Boyd), Amanda Morton, Shannon Morton (Jacon Roberts), Macey Raibley (Daniel Raibley), Lydia Swinson, Willow Roberts, Michelle Boyd, Cole Boyd, Frank Raibley and Noah Raibley; and his sisters, Dorothy Fletcher and Shirley Brown.

The family suggest memorials be made to Scottish Rite for Children.
