He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Magness and Opal Magness; and his siblings, Mary Louise Horton of Alton, John Larry Magness and Charles Magness.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Magness; his children, Jason Magness and Shyra Weimer; his stepson Joseph McKinney; his grandchildren, Leandra and Matthew Weimer; and his sisters, Catherine Wadkins and Barbara Wilson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
