He is survived by: his children, Daena Saucedo (Robert), Marlene Cirilo (Ramon), Myra Chapa (Tino), Margot Cabrera (Rick), Mary Lynn Guerrero (Hector) and John Cortez, Jr. (Lucinda); and his brother Daniel Cortez, Jr.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
