She was predeceased by: her parents, Alphonse Steffens and Elizabeth Steffens; her sister Gladys Fortenberry; and her brother-in-law Chris Wethington. She is survived by: her siblings, Victor Steffens (Veronica) of Dimmitt, Val Steffens (Laura) of Olton, Richard Steffens of Apache Junction, Howard Steffens (Jaunean) of Lockney, David Steffens (Becky) of Plainview, Texas and Teresa Wethington of Nacogdoches. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
