She was predeceased by: her parents, William Clarence "W. C." and Lizzie Henderson (Brummett); her husband Thurman Ray Newkirk Sr.; her daughter Rae Nell Newkirk; and her brothers, Bill Henderson, Johnny Henderson and Doyle Henderson.
She is survived by: her children, Dearease Wright and Thurman Newkirk Jr. (Cindy); her grandchildren, Janice Nixon (Michael), Shannon Wright, Cayla Rae Newkirk and Colton Newkirk; and her great grandchildren, Connor Nixon, Canyen Nixon of Lily Wright, J. J, Brandon and Ally Brandon.
