He is survived by: his son Chris Cowling (Rachael) of New Braunfels, TX; his siblings, Roger Cowling (Paulan) of Sulphur Springs, TX and Linda McKennedy (Jerry Coughlin); his sister-in-law Carol Mitchell Stillwagoner of Paris, TX; his grandsons, Hayes and Dean Cowling; his niece Jessica Horton; his great-niece Molly McKennedy (family: Shelby Stillwagoner Harris, Hadley Mitchell, Lauren Mitchell); and his nephews, Patrick McKennedy and J. T. Cowling (family: Blake Stillwagoner, Bobby Mitchell). He is also survived by family, Blake Stillwagoner and family.
