It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba Starrett Vaughan of Sulphur Springs, Texas, who passed away on June 2, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Starrett and Eula Starrett (Ponder); her husband Robert Vaughan; and her siblings, Carl Starrett Jr., Frank Starrett and Betty Story.
She is survived by: her brother Bennie Starrett; her children, Debbie Oberlender (David Oberlender), David Vaughan and Timothy Vaughan; her grandchildren, Daniel Oberlender, Rebecca Oberlender and Sarah Scroggins; and her great grandchild Luna Clifton.
