She was predeceased by: her parents, Deacon Sutton Spigner and Etta Williams Spigner; her siblings, Winston Spigner and Rowena Johnson; and her stepson Mark Adaway.
She is survived by: her son John Bethel, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; her granddaughter Morgan Bethel of Houston, Texas; her sisters, Dorothy Parker of Fort Worth and Marcie Porter; her brother-in-law Willie B. Porter; and her goddaughters, Lillie Howard and Ozetta Johnson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the West Oaks Funeral Home (500 Hillcrest Dr N, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (208 Fuller St, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the Caney Cemetery (401 Co Rd 3345, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482).
