He is survived by: his wife Patricia Suits of Sulphur Springs; his children, Kyle Suits of Dallas and Sonya Pope (Chad) of Austin; his stepchildren, Kevin Penson of Brownsville, Stephanie Booth of Copper and Wendy Speight (Steve) of Commerce; his brother Pete Suits (Sandra) of Point; his half-brother William Powell of Lone Oak; his sister Betty Burns of Sulphur Springs; his grandchild Harper Pope; his stepgrandchildren, Katie, Peyton, Kelsey and Neeley; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kenley and Lux. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
