He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Gibbs and Gladys Gibbs (Bangs); his grandson Casey Chester; and his siblings, Lonnie Ray Gibbs and Linda Sue Patrick.
He is survived by: his children, Jason Gibbs and Wende Gibbs; his grandchildren, Maci Fowler and Laci Lamb; his great grandchildren, Jabrie Fowler and Lennox Chester; and his brother Lendy Gibbs.
