John Wesley Wilburn Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Wesley Wilburn of Sulphur Springs, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 26, 2025 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James T. Wilburn and ElFleta Wilburn (Grimes); his grandparents, Walter, Annie Ruth Grimes, James and Golden Wilburn; and his sister Jeanna Wilburn.

He is survived by: his wife Lesa Wilburn; his children, Amber Griggs (Justin), Ashley Gaboury (Mike), Harley Wilburn and Heston Wilburn (Cheyenne); his nephew Caemon Early; and his grandchildren, Allyson Dykes, Logan Sells, Ansley Dykes, Haddix Wilburn, Blaine Wilburn, Makenna Gaboury, Harmony Wilburn, Marley Early, Dakota Wilburn and Harper Griggs.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Murray - Orwosky Funeral Home (876 Wildcat Way, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery (5784 TX-154, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482).
