He was predeceased by: his parents, Vada Wheeler and Ebb Kellogg Wheeler; his sisters, Patsy McKinney and Juanita Wallace; and his brother-in-law Travis Mathews.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Wheeler; his sister Mary Ann Mathews; his nieces and nephews, Jeannie Kay Taylor (Richard) and Terry Joe Wheeler (Carrol); and his grandchildren, Lindsey Kay Honeycutt, Colton Ryan Wheeler and Victoria Faith Wheeler.
In lieu of flowers, the family request honorarium be made to the First United Methodist Church Sulphur Springs or Sulphur Springs City Cemetery.
