With solemn reverence, we commemorate Helen Sapaugh of Sulphur Springs, Texas, whose life came to an end on February 17, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Porter Shelton and Edith Jo Wells Shelton; her husband Wendell Don Sapaugh; her brother Tommy Shelton; her sisters-in-law, Penny Shelton and Jackie McGlamery; and her in-laws, Cowboy and Jesse Sapaugh.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Anne Sapaugh of Waco and Don Sapaugh (Jill) of Sulphur Springs; her granddaughter Anna Kate Sapaugh (Dylan Silcox) of Dallas; her siblings, Lynn Shelton, Joe Kenneth Shelton (Sheila), Ann Clement (Carlisle) and Debbie Shelton Roberts; and her nieces and nephews, Tommy Kent Shelton, Robin Shelton Fanning, Tonya Shelton, Brent Shelton, Kenneth Shelton, Natalie Clement, Chris Clement and Loyd Lennon.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (116 Oak Ave, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery (5784 TX-154, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482).
In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations may be made to the Children's Ministry of First Baptist Church Sulphur Springs.
