He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Mitchell and Verna "Pinky" Mitchell (Raley); and his wife Janet Gowin. He is survived by: his son Dan Mitchell; his grandsons, Dillon Mitchell and Dalton Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Brooklynn Mitchell, Kaycee Mitchell and Emry Mitchell; and his sisters, Dana Wilhite and Tena Wilkes.
