He is survived by: his wife Hilda Hernandez of Sulphur Springs; his children, Daniel Cortez, Debbie Escobedo, Marie Santibanez, Mindy Cortez and Ruth Ramirez; and his mother Tiburcia Lira Cruz. He is also survived by five siblings; twenty-two grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
