With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Earnestine Ford of Sulphur Springs, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 2, 2025 at the age of 76. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Earnestine had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Earnestine may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arva Clyde and Evalena Clyde (Lewis); and her brother Durial Clyde. She is survived by: her children, Shirrel Stephens-Calloway (Marvin) of Tyler, Texas, Maurice Ford, Jr. (Delois) of Commerce and Brian L. Ford of Sulphur Springs, Texas; her sister Reva Lewis of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and her goddaughter Keitha Wilson (Christopher) of Balch Springs, Texas.. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Murray - Orwosky Funeral Home (876 Wildcat Way, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cherry Grove Cemetery.
