He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewell Vernon Smith and Laura Ruth Allen Smith; his brother Vernon Van Smith; and his stepbrother Scotty Smith. He is survived by: his brother Gerald Hood; his wife Linda Smith; his son Jason Lynn Smith; his sister Ann Tanton (Tony); his stepmother Birdie Smith; his granddaughter Mckenna Lynn Smith; and his pet Star. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and his best friend.
