He was predeceased by: his wives, Ann Hamiter and Donna Hamiter; and his siblings, Paul Hamiter, Ruth Maddox and Nadine Wallentine.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Hamiter Jr. "Tyke" (Dee), Bill Hamiter (Debbie) and Deann Hamiter Lee (Jimmy); his stepchildren, April Terrell (Tracy), Keith White (Tohi) and Lara Colby (Adam); his grandchildren, Collin White (Breanna), Cameron White, Chandler White, Sarah Levings (Scott), Matthew Colby, Whitney Harris (Paul), Leslie Hastings (Alex), Amy Hamiter, Olivia Bennett (Les), Avery Hamiter and Travis Lee; his great grandchildren, Alayna, Layla and Tyke; and his close friend Jimmie Johnson. He is also survived by wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
