She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Garmon and Maree Garmon (Garrett) of Miller Grove; her husband Dewey Ray Burns, Jr.; her brother Robert Garmon II (Henry); and her son-in-law Randy Thornton.

She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy Thornton of Palestine and Teresa Burns (Robert) of Emory; her sisters, Lynda Wood of Grapeland and Sherri Cockrell; her brother-in-law Rick of Miller Grove; her grandchildren, Tarah Thornton of Tyler, Hunter Thornton (Autumn) of Honolulu, Hawaii and Caitlyn Norwood (Braden) of Shawnee, OK; her great grandchild Ben; her grandchild Taylor Nisbet (Nolan) of Tyler; her great grandchild Ezra; her grandson Colton Burns (Mariah) of Emory; her great grandchild Evalynn; and her grandchild Collyn Burns of Emory. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
