He was predeceased by: his father Earl Welch. He is survived by: his brothers-in-law, James Wilson, Brad Fain and Brad Holland; his friends, James Wilson, Perry Woolsey, Zack Jones, David Phillips and Phil Moore; his mother Mary Nell Welch (Ratliff); his wife Cindy Jones; his son Cooper Welch (Mikala); his sisters, Cheryl Phillips (David) and Lynn Wilson (James); his siblings-in-law, Pam Woolsey (Perry) and Zach Jones; and his parents-in-law, Edwin Jones and Patricia Jones. He is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Christian Vocation Scholarship at First Baptist Church or Northeast Texas Food Bank at 217 Linda Drive Sulphur Springs, TX 75482.
