She was predeceased by: her husband Charles C. Askew Sr.; her parents, James Roland and Irene Roland; her daughter Victoria; her son-in-law Yaw Owusu; her sons, Ricky Spivey and Charles C. Askew Jr.; and her brother Walter Roland.
She is survived by: her children, Sherby Spivey (Glenda) of Cedar Park, TX, Chris Spivey (Ann) of Sulphur Springs, Special, Keith Spivey (Brenda) of Sulphur Springs, Special, Robert Askew of Sulphur Springs, Special, Jeff Spivey of Houston and Sequita Mosley (Anthony) of Sulphur Springs; and her aunts, Bobbie Roland and Verrera Roland. She is also survived by 25 Grandchildren; 27 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the League Street Church of Christ (1100 League St S, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
