Herbert Kritz Obituary
Funeral service for Herbert "HK" Kritz, age 88 of Sulphur Bluff, Texas will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Bro Donnie "DJ" Powers Jr. officiating. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Dale Fite, Danny Ragsdale, Joe Don Joslin, Tony Moore, Ray Williams, Mark Brantley, Larry Ingram, Chuck Limbaugh and Lee Glenn. Honorary pallbearers will be Landon Dorner, Hunter Powers and Nathan Dorner. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mr. Kritz passed away on January 11, 2023 at Clyde W. Cosper Veterans Home.
Herbert was born on March 31, 1934 in Spring Green, Wisconsin to Reuben Thomas and Aurelia Margaret (Schoenmann) Kritz. He married Patricia Dorner on October 14, 2018 in Sulphur Bluff, Texas. Herbert received his Master's Degree in Business Economics. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Herbert was the social director on the Queen Elizabeth 2 cruise ship and appointed manager for Lockheed Ground Vehicle Systems. He sold throughout the world and was also a marketing salesman for Caterpillar and Allis Chalmers Heavy Equipment. Herbert was a building and property inspector and general building constructor. He was also a Real Estate Broker, Auctioneer, and a Notary Public. He was a Marketing Sales Manager for Rolls Royce. Herbert was the owner of HK Discount Doors. Herbert was a member of Crimson River Cowboy Church.
Survived by wife, Patricia; stepdaughter, Karen Powers and husband, Donnie Sulphur Bluff, stepsons. Brian Dorner and wife, Dana of Dike, Timmy Dorner and wife Veronica of Campbell; grandchildren, Rebecca-Daniel Mothersell, Nathan Dorner, Sarah Dorner, Landon- Bailey Dorner, Tori Dorner, Ann Marie Dorner, Kaci Powers and Hunter Powers; great grandchildren, Catalina Mothersell and Collins Dorner; sisters, Kathryn (Kitty) Peterson, Marjorie (Marge) Hottmann and husband, Robert of Spring Green, Wisconsin, Mary Kritz and husband Doug Gurak of Spring Green Wisconsin. Brother, Fred Kritz of Belle Vista, Arkansas;. Special mother-in-law, Marie Chester.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Aurelia.
