He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrill A. Mican and Annie T. Herzik; and his sister Betty Ruzicka. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Mican; his daughters, Tina Jaciuk (Steve), Michele Mican and Tamara Mican (Ronald Odom); his grandchildren, Jessica, Steven, Joshua, Noah, Samantha and Miranda; and his great grandchildren, J. J., Payton, Maddy, Aurora, Kingsley and Athena.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Settegast-Kopf Company - Sugar Creek Morrow Chapel (15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Malvin's name may be made.
