He is survived by: his father Robert Murphy; his wife Barbara; his siblings, Larry Murphy (Kathie), Colleen (Bob Hedke) and Kathleen (David Caldwell); his sons, Michael (Jessica) and Blaine (Holly); and his grandchildren, Fraser, Oscar and Lucy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parkway United Methodist Church in Sugar Land, Texas, honoring Lonnie's commitment to his faith and community.
