With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathryn Annette Gerard of Sugar Land, Texas, born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 15, 2024 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Walter Fritschel and Nina Fritschel; her husband Dave Gerard (Dave); her sister Barbara Obermeyer; her brother-in-law Louis Obermeyer; and her nephew Mark Obermeyer.

She is survived by: her daughters, Ann Chauvel-Gobin and Dawn Gerard; her nieces, Lynne Obermeyer and Kathy Obermeyer; her great-nephew Eric Obermeyer; her great-niece Allison Kellert; her son-in-law Christophe Chauvel-Gobin; and her grandchildren, Alexandre Chauvel-Gobin and Isabelle Chauvel-Gobin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kay's memory to the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP), or a favorite charity of one's choice.
