He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe I. Silhavy and Willie Mae Silhavy; and his sister Georgie Cerny. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ann Silhavy; his daughter Sherry Lynn Silhavy; and his siblings, Raymond Silhavy (Beverly), Betty Ann Kramer and Helen Deiss (Douglas).
