She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alfred and Florence Mae DeLawder; her husband Bob; and her sisters, Jimmie Jean Hayes and Karen Laverne Battles.
She is survived by: her children, Robert L., Jr., Michael L. "Mike" (Elizabeth) of Houston, Scott L. (Simone) of Dallas and Wenona "Wendy" Wells (Glen) of Conroe, Texas; her grandchildren, Michael Thomas "Tommy" Walzel, Katherine Elaine "Katie" Walzel Gonzalez (Sergio), Kaelyn Walzel, Robert L. III (Walzel), Benjamin Scott Walzel (Gabby), Whitney Michelle Wells Rorabaugh (Ben), Alexander Michael "Alex" Walzel and Mitchell Glen Wells (Ellyse); her great grandchild Dominic Gonzalez; and her sister Judith Ann "Judy" Nicholson of Victoria, Texas.. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (404 Azalea St Door #5, Lake Jackson, TX 77566).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial charitable contributions be made to the Music Ministry at St. Paul's United Methodist Church https://my.stpaulshouston.org.
