He was predeceased by: his father Charles Harold Edward Goodness; his grandparents, Herbert, Daisy Phipps and Christine Goodness; and his mother Kathryn Phipps Goodness Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Clarice Hopkins; his children, Theresa Goodness (Barbara Castille), Charles "Chuck" Goodness, Jr. (Charmyn Dunlap) and Dr. Kelly Goodness (Luis Garcia); his granddaughters, Michelle Farnie (Adam Farnie) and Nicole Fontenot (Enrique Berra); his great grandchildren, Justin Hatfield, Kaitlyn, Hudson Farnie and Liam Berra; and his niece Virginia Carpenter.
