He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Bumpass (Couch) and Dudley Bumpass; his wife Susan Donathan Bumpass; and his brother Charles Bumpass. He is survived by: his child Peepaw; his siblings, Katherine Sanner and Peter Bumpass (Bonnie); his children, Suzanne Brittain, Karen Costallos (Mike), Michael Bumpass (Ursula) and Beverly Blalock (Eddie); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Ashley Hardin (Daniel Rachman), Suzanne Brittain, Michael Hardin (Lauren Seelye), Gregory Brittain (Becca), Brittany Brittain (Ryan Fisher), Mary Diamond (Austin), Madeline Bumpass, Monica Bumpass, Madison Blalock, Garrett Blalock (Chloey) and Mason Blalock; and his great grandchildren, Elle Rachman, Kristine Fisher, Ophelia Brittain, Cole Fisher, Emme Rachman, Vivian Blalock and Theresa Diamond.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Southern Oaks Volunteer Fire Department.
