Ben touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by : his mother Etta Mae Neal Callaway; his wife Delores Callaway; his brother Walter David Callaway; his great grandchild Matthew Harris; and his father Herbert Callaway.

He is survived by : his children, Ken Callaway, Doris Oliver (Robert) and Shirley Mays; his grandchildren, Veronica Harris (Mike), Yvonne Oliver, Robert Mays (Nancy) and Brandon Mays (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Hunter Brooke, Zachery Harris, Hayley Bowers (Bryce), Maddox Mays, Jaxon Mays and Adelaide Mays; and his great great grandchildren, Rustin Harris, Kolsyn Harris and Buddy Bowers.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bowers Funeral Home (900 US Hwy 84 W, Teague, TX 75860). A graveside service was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM.
