He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold "Red" Hertel and Maxene Downer Hertel; his wife Diane Griffin; his children, Tim Hertel (Donna) of Borger, Cara Gage (William) of Stinnett, Kayla Lupo (Kurt) of Streetman, Texas, Kyla Yeager (Coby) of Stinnett, Carmen Laird (Jeremy) of Colorado and Carrie Bruffey (Tres) of Lubbock, Texas; his sister Haroletta Couch of Stinnett; and his grandchildren, Desirae Lindsey, Samantha, Marcus, Wilson, Matthew Lupo, Meagan Turner, Alicia Gage, Tyler Gage, Hunter Hertel, Skylar Hertel, Kristian White, Kaci Gariepy-Deakin and Colten Yeager.
