He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezekiel Fuentes and Cresencia Espinosa Fuentes; his wife Tomasa Fuentes; and his sons, Cornelio Fuentes Jr. and Tomas Mares Fuentes.
He is survived by: his children, Gabriel Fuentes (Misti), Pablo Mata (Sabrina) of Sterling City, TX and Araseli Ortiz of Sterling City, TX; his grandchildren, Megan Fuentes, Hayden Fuentes, Grabiela Fuentes, Vanessa Hurley (Dave), Leo Ortiz, Jr. and Angelica Ortiz; and his sister Maria Salinas of Villa Union. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and close friends.
