He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Jacob Brooks, Sr. and Billie Ann Brooks (Weston); and his grandparents, Jake and Billie (Freddie Lightfoot). He is survived by: his wife Diane Brooks of Stephenville, Texas; his children, Jason Hicks (Jennifer) of Stephenville, Ashley Brooks of Stephenville and Jenna Brooks of Stephenville, Texas; his granddaughters, Abigail Hicks (Abby) and Hallee Jones of Stephenville, Texas; and his sisters, Robin Asa (Bill) of Round Rock and Lynn Newton of Bangs, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
