He is survived by: his former spouses, Loy Derelle Elston and Nora Potter Laney; his children, Gary Sims (Jana) of Stephenville, Sherry McDonald (Marlon) of Lockney, Gwinda Jones of Stephenville and Debbie Christian (Mike) of Stephenville; his brothers, Norman Sims of Seminole, David Sims of Ft. Worth and Arlis Sims (Shirley) of Lingleville; and his grandchildren, Tyson Evans, Britta Hartman, Tosha Sims, Tyler Sims, Zayde Simmons, Breyson Simmons, Tiffany Card, Jordan Haney, Tara Copeland, Austin Christian, Tess Cutbirth and Mara Evans. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces.
