He is survived by: his children, John Andrew Abshire (Misty) of Hico, Texas, Goldie Ann Abshire Scott (Brandon) of Stephenville, Texas, Laura Yvette Abshire Kanaday (Bryson) of Stephenville, Texas and Anastasia Nola Abshire Kurilich (Marco) of Butte, Montana; and his siblings, Harvey Abshire of Sulphur and Shelby Ann Abshire Parker of Lake Charles, Louisiana.. He is also survived by seven grandsons, three granddaughters.
