He was predeceased by: his former wife Maggie Hughes; his daughter Marta Hughes; and his parents, Essie Hughes and Lennious Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Billye Joyce; his daughter Tina Lentine (Jim); his stepchildren, Jerry Taylor (Barbara), Lynda Donnelly (Keith), Karla Coston (Kent) and Diane Hord (Parnell); and his brother Hershell Hughes. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren along with 7 nephews, several cousins, and many friends.
