It is with great sadness that we announce the death of La Verne Willis of Stephenville, Texas, born in De Queen, Arkansas, who passed away on June 8, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Willis and Willie Calvin Short Willis; and her siblings, Willie Mae Willis, Effie Morgan, Ruthie McCoy, R. C. Willis, Paul Willis, Susie Willis, Mildred Irvan and Juanita Roberts.
She is survived by: her children, Samantha Pehl of Dublin, Christi Love McCoy of Lapin, Toni Rena Headstream of Stephenville, Joni Rae Sears of Dublin, Texas and Brett Moore of Yuma, Arizona; and her brothers, Billy Fay Willis of Horatio, Arkansas. and Glynn David Willis of Horatio, Arkansas.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members.
