It is with great sadness that we announce the death of La Rue Weems (Stephenville, Texas), who passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Jesse Lee White (Buster); her former husband Preceding; her brother C. E. White; and her niece Brenda Byran. She is survived by: her spouse Arlon Weems (Chink); her children, Leann Weems Pate (Rodney Pate) and Philip Weems (Cathy Weems); her grandchildren, Mark (Melissa Pate), Jennifer Pate, Heather Weems Gallagher (Jace Gallagher) and Hannah Weems; her great grandchildren, William Dunaway, Melanie Pate, Ellie Gallagher, Ashlyn Gallagher, Ryleigh Gallagher, Henry Bailey and Charlotte Bailey; and her caregiver Nora of Solaris.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stephenville Funeral Home (120 W South Loop, Stephenville, TX 76401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (422 W Washington St, Stephenville, TX 76401). A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Memory Cemetery.
