He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Starnes (Brent) of Stephenville and Fred Schroeder Jr. of Indiana; and his stepchildren, Tia Charles of Indiana, Bobbi Hagaman of Michigan and William Conley of Indiana. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
