With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Watkins (Stephenville, Texas), born in Gatesville, Texas, who passed away on January 28, 2019 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Michael Lee Watkins of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Suzanne (Mike Ballow) of Stephenville; his nieces, Alyssa Watkins Brittain, Katie Watkins Phillips (Rob, Paige Watkins), Maynon Ballow Elliott (Clayton, Monica Ballow) and Meggan Ballow Whites (Daniel); his nephew Jesse Michael Watkins; and his great-nephews, Jonah Whites, Ethan Whites, Thomas Barton, Maxon Campbell and Fletcher Brittain.

“I remember David in Jr. High and High School to be a little shy, handsome, and nice. I got to know him better through high school and he was gentle and understanding. After high school we would talk some about old loves and heart break. In recent years, I took my elderly parents to Montanas and he picked up the bill. The last time I saw him was about two years ago in Walmart, I didn't see that it was him until he called my name and said hello. I'm so glad I ran over and gave him a bug hug. I will remember that hug. I'm very sad but we do not grieve as those without hope. You loved and were loved well, David.”
