He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert R. Weaver and Patricia Anna Mae McClelland (Garrett); and his siblings, Edgar Garrett and Patricia Weaver. He is survived by: his wife Gee Gee; his sister Mary Jarrell; his sons, Bret (Melanie) and Brad (Terry); his grandchildren, Bret Jr. (Kacey), Brooks (Erika), Braden (Sarah), Reese and Margaret Coomer (Nick); and his great grandchild Finneas Henry Coomer.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to St. Jude's.
