He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Cook and Nelwayne Cook; his brother Mark Cook; his wife Melody Choate Cook; and his daughter-in-law Erin Wheeler Cook.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Cook of Stanton and Kayla Nichols (Steven) of Stanton; the mother of his children Charlotte Cook of Stanton; his grandsons, Wheeler Cook, Beau Nichols and Chip Nichols; his stepchildren, Ragan Outlaw (Justin) of Greenwood and Justin Darden of Big Spring; his stepgrandchildren, Brannon, Bryleigh, Hunter, Kade and Cason; and his brother Kenneth Cook (Cheryl) of Stanton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Midland or First Methodist Church of Stanton.
