He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Dale and Nellie Muriel Guenther (Stiles); his wife Margaret Linette Sudis; his brothers, Mike Etchason and Robert "Bob" Guenther; and his sons, Tracy Joe Guenther and Eugene Kurt Guenther.
He is survived by: his former wife Connie May Radke; his children, John Dale Guenther of San Angelo, James Dean Guenther of Lake Jackson, Julie Mullins and Thomas Scott Guenther of New Braunfels; and his siblings, Jerri Etchason of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Tom Etchason of Minnesota. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
