He was predeceased by: his mother Loeda Helmig (Marriott); and his significant other Peggy Adams. He is survived by: his father Russell Helmig; his friend Peggy Adams; his children, Jeff Helmig (Lacey) of Lee's Summit, Trista Rizk of Austin and Jenni Wailes of Houston, Texas; his grandchildren, Sammi Helmig, Sage Rizk, Kaden, Jacob Wailes, Clara and Calvin Helmig; and his brothers, Jim Helmig (Terri) of Warrensburg and John Helmig of St. Louis. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
