She is survived by: her children, Ricardo Alfredo Gijon-Aguilar (Solange Baez Gijon) and Maria Eulalia Gijon Patronella; her grandchildren, Jael Eshter (Benito), Maria Rosa (Anthony Johnson) and Rafael Alfredo Gijón-Baez (Michelle); her great grandchildren, Sophia, Gianna, Joshua, Ronin and Rosalie; and her brother José Demetrio Aguilar (Lisa).
Her family requests that, instead of flowers, friends and family make a tribute donation in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
