She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Nathan Shipp and Josephine Elizabeth Hall; her former husband Jimmy Nolan Hicks; her husband Cecil "Peanut" Ray; her daughters, Debra Hicks Crosby and Charlotte Ray McClelland; and her siblings, Ruby L. McKinzie, Robbie L. Shipp, Morris R. Shipp, William D. Shipp, James H. Shipp and Kenneth W. Shipp.
She is survived by: her children, James Nolan Hicks, Jr. (Becky) of Jasper, Kris Lynn Ray (Jana) of San Antonio, Jason Lee Ray (Joanna Gonzales) of Somerville, Alan Michael Ray of Beaumont, Raymond Dale Ray of Vidor, Texas, Carolyn Sue Hicks of Buna, Barbara Cunningham of Spurger, Lisa Diane Farley of Buna, Carrie Lynn Ford (Ricky) of Spurger, Shirley Hicks Mathis of Tennessee and Debbie Hicks of Tennessee; and her sister Myra J. Shipp Johnson of Enid, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild, and a host of other family members and friends.
