He is survived by: his wife Doris Sangwin; his children, Jerry Sangwin, II (Ashley) of Silsbee and Joline Sangwin (Robert Derwin) of Georgia; his grandchildren, Slade Sangwin, Gaberial Winkle, Braxton Winkle, Riley Sangwin, Dixie Derrick, Mallory Sangwin and Kynley Sangwin; and his siblings, Melony Tanton (Louis) of Silsbee, Rhonda Swearingin of Vidor and Betty Ann Sangwin of Orange.
