He is survived by: his wife Charlena Fitzgerald; his daughter Michele Smith (Patrick Garcia) of Arlington, Texas; his grandchildren, Ashtyn Cornett (Deionte Johnson) and Gage Cornett; and his great grandchild Kayson Johnson of Spur, Texas..
